Type Locality and Naming

Along the Sumskaya ridge, right bank of the Karasu River, basin of the Kashkadarya River, Zarafshan-Gissar mountain region. Stratotype on the Shakhriomona pass.

Synonym: South Sumskaya Suite, Южносумсарская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Gray and dark gray layered sugary dolomites, sometimes organogenic. Thickness 100-565m.
